Collecting your smartcard from a GoGet car
Pick up your GoGet smartcard during your first trip
Currently, you can collect your smartcard from GoGet cars in Queensland and New South Wales. This is not available in other cities yet.
On this page:
- Create a booking
- Call GoGet at the start of your booking
- Once your smartcard is activated, simply "tap on" to the car and drive
To pick up your smartcard from a car, follow these simple steps:

- Book a GoGet so you can pick up your smartcard.

2. Call GoGet at the start of your booking
TIP: Allow 15 minutes at the start of your booking to give us a call on 1300 769 389. We'll help get you activated and on the road.
- Head to your booked car at the start of your booking time.
- Call us once you're at the car.
- We'll walk you through the steps of accessing the smartcard inside and activate it for you.

3. Once your smartcard is activated, simply "tap on" to the car and drive
- Use your smartcard to lock and unlock the vehicle.
- That's it! You now have your own smartcard you can use for any future bookings!
