All you need to know about how and when a booking is charged

How will I be charged for my trip?

Bookings of less than 24hrs

The total cost of the booking (km's driven + hours booked) will be charged as soon as possible after the booking ends, typically within a few hours, and can be up to a day later.

Example:

GoFrequent Plan, Medium Hatchback: $8.40/hr + $0.48/km

3 hour booking: $25.20 + 20km: $9.60 = $34.80

Bookings of 24hrs or more

We’ll take a pre-payment for the hours you’ve booked at the time you book your trip. If there are any additional charges, like extra km outside of your included 100kms, we’ll invoice and charge them as soon as possible after the trip has finished.

Example:

GoFrequent Plan, Medium Hatchback: $96/day + $0.35/km (100km free per day)

2 day booking: $192 + 30km: $10.50 (200 free Kms) = $202.50

The Day Rate

The Day Rate is a flat rate that includes up to 24 hours and 100kms.

It's automatically applied whenever it would make your booking cheaper, so you never have to worry about calculating it yourself.

Your booking breakdown on the My Bookings page will show whenever a booking has been converted to the Day Rate, and the savings made from the conversion. For more information about our Day Rate click here.

Example:

GoFrequent Plan, Medium Hatchback: $8.40/hr or $96/day + $0.48/km or $0.35/km (100km free per day)

10 hour booking: $84 + 100km: $48 = $132 (more expensive than the day rate)

Recalculated at the day rate:

1 day booking: $96 + 0km: $0 (100 free Kms) = $96

When will tolls be charged?

We’ll charge tolls related to each trip 7 days after the trip has ended. We might receive additional toll charges from operators after 7 days. We’ll pass these on when they come through.

Fines

Fines related to your booking usually occur if you return the vehicle late or use a vehicle outside of your booking time. The fine will be charged after your booking has ended.

The charge will include, the fine of $25, the cost for the time you used the vehicle (counted in 30 minute increments), and the cost of kilometres travelled during that time. Please keep in mind that sometimes kilometres travelled during your original booking, will instead be applied to the fine charge.

30 minutes late: $4.20 + 6km: $2.88 + Late fine: $25

Post-Pay

Post-Pay billing means that we'll send you an invoice for your month's usage early in the following month. Your default payment method will be charged on the same day as you receive your invoice.

Post-pay is only offered to selected Enterprise customers with consistently high usage or who are in large networks, at our discretion. If you would like to find out more, please get in touch with your questions.
