Collect your smartcard

You can either pick-up a GoGet smartcard from a retail partner, or request for one to be sent in the mail. Once you have your smartcard you will need to activate it. You can activate your smartcard through the Manage your Smartcard section of the GoGet app. Each member needs their own individual smartcard assigned to them, it is your personalised key to the GoGet network.

  1. Booking a GoGet
Choose a vehicle, location, date and time that is convenient for you. All GoGet trips are round trips, so ensure you allocate enough time to return the car back to it's pod after you're done.

  2. Inspecting the vehicle
When you arrive at the vehicle, make sure to inspect for any damage. Check the Co-Pilot damage log in the glove box, if you notice any damage that hasn't been reported take a photo and report the damage in the GoGet app
Report any new damage or cleanliness issues BEFORE you start driving.

  3. Tag on and off
You lock and unlock the vehicle by holding your smartcard over the GoGet card reader on the windscreen. We count the first "tag-on" as the start of your trip" and the last "tag-off" as the end of your trip.
Make sure you only tag on and off during your booking time, or fines may apply.

  4. Keys
The car keys are inside the vehicle attached to an extendable cord next to the steering wheel. You lock and unlock the vehicle during your booking with your smartcard.
There are no keys? It might be a vehicle with a keyless ignition system, just press the "start" button to start the engine.

  5. Fuel
Ensure you always return the vehicle with a minimum of 1/4 of a tank of fuel for the next member. Fuel is on us, so please fill up the entire tank. Use the GoGet fuel card attached to the car key to pay at any major petrol station.

  6. Returning to the pod
All GoGet trips are return trips. Please follow the instructions in the app to ensure you're bringing the car back to its correct location. Take all your belongings and rubbish with you and leave the car clean and tidy for the next member to use. (Don't forget to tag off to avoid a fine)
