When you tap on to a GoGet vehicle before your booking starts, the time cost as well as the cost of kilometres are charged separately to your original booking.

It is important that you only access your GoGet vehicle within your booking time. If you need to access your GoGet early, you can adjust your booking time within the app.

Here's how it works:

  • Time:

Accessing your vehicle earlier than 5 minutes before your booking starts gets rounded up to 30-minute increments and charged accordingly.

  • Kilometres:

You'll be charged for the total number of kilometres driven between the first time you tap on (unlock) and the time you tap off (lock) your vehicle, usually after your original booking has started.
Your early pickup invoice might show more kilometres than expected. This is because it can include kilometres travelled both before and after your original booking started (depending on when you tap off).

  • No $25 fine:
We do not apply a $25 fine for accessing a vehicle less than 1 hour before your booking starts. The invoice and charge that you receive is the combination of the cost of time and kms travelled.
Although, If you do access a vehicle more than an hourly early, this is treated as accessing a vehicle without a booking and does incur a $25 fine (plus the time and distance charges).

You can see how the cost of this early pickup booking is calculated by clicking on the "How was this calculated" link within the invoice. Below are some generic examples:

Example 1:

Booking Start = 1:00pm

First tap on = 12:47pm (13 minutes early)

KMs between first tap on and tap off = 22km

Result: A separate invoice would be created, including the cost of 30 minutes + 22kms

Example 2:

Booking Start = 1:00pm

First tap on = 12:27pm (33 minutes early)

KMs between first tap on and tap off = 45km

Result: A separate invoice would be created, including the cost of 1 hour + 45kms
