It’s important to report damage at the start of your booking, otherwise, damage may be incorrectly assigned to you and you can be held liable for the cost of repairing the damage.

You can get more information on what to do if you’ve caused damage yourself or see how to report existing damage via the app. If you've got any questions or need assistance regarding damage or accidents at any stage, start a chat or give us a call on 1300 769 389 - we're always happy to help.

Before you get going

Check the Co-pilot manual (located in the glovebox)

Once you’ve used your smartcard to unlock the vehicle, locate the co-pilot manual in the glovebox. There will be a damage log listing any previously reported damage within.

Check the vehicle for any additional unreported damage

Walk around the vehicle to check for any damage that has not been previously recorded in the co-pilot.

Ensure that you are safe to move around the vehicle and keep an eye out for any traffic or hazards.

Take photos of any unreported damage

Use your phone to take photos of any unreported damage that isn’t listed in the co-pilot manual damage log. Please make sure photos are clear and depict the amount of damage as well as the location of the damage. It’s always better to take too many than not enough.

Report damage using the GoGet app

Use the GoGet app to report any damage that hasn’t been listed in the co-pilot manual damage log. For more information on how to use the app to report damage, view this article on how to report damage via the app.

If there isn’t any new damage, then you’re good to go!
