How to charge, where to charge and how far you can drive on a full charge

Charging the vehicle at the end of your booking

⚠️Please ensure at the end of your booking that the vehicle is charging. The charging station at the pod is completely free.

What charger do you use

There are two different connector/cable types. Select the cable based on the type of charger you are using.

Slow / Fast: Type 2

Rapid: CCS

How to check if the vehicle is charging

The charging port is located at the front of the GoGet vehicle. The battery icon will flash green when the vehicle is charging.

It is very important that the vehicle is placed back on charge once you have returned the vehicle. Fines may apply for members that fail to place the vehicle back on charge, as this can cause a serious inconvenience to the next member


How to unplug the charger at the start of your booking

If the vehicle is not 100% charged at the start of your booking, the charging cable will be locked in place. If this happens to you at the start of your booking, just make sure to unlock all doors, by pressing the 'unlock' button on the driver's door.


Where can I charge the vehicle

⚠️The vehicle has a charging station at the pod. Always charge the vehicle once the booking is over

We have partnered with Chargefox, Australia's largest EV charging network. If you need to charge the vehicle during your booking, you can recharge at one of the many Chargefox charging stations throughout Australia. Use the Chargefox RFID card to recharge the vehicle, the steps to do this are outlined here:

  • Download the Chargefox app to view all available charging stations throughout Australia

How to get reimbursed for a paid recharge

You can recharge the vehicle at any publicly available charging stations, but only the Chargefox stations will avoid you having to pay and request a reimbursement. If you had to pay to recharge the vehicle during your booking, you can request a reimbursement from GoGet. Please send an email through to [email protected]

Please include the below information:

  • Details of your booking (the booking ID, name of the vehicle and date/time of booking)

  • The invoice you received after paying for the recharge

  • Your bank account details (BSB and Account Number)

    • If you would prefer to receive a credit on your GoGet account, please just let us know this instead of sending your bank account details


How far can you drive on a full charge

The Hyundai Kona Electric Vehicle has a range of between 480-500km on a full charge. The dashboard inside the vehicle will show a live reading of how many kilometers are remaining on the current charge. This is shown in the image below, underneath the speedometer:
