Need to change destinations mid-drive? Need to call your housemate on the way to the supermarket? Connecting your iPhone to the car's display and stereo with Apple CarPlay means you can access apps like Maps, Spotify or your contacts without touching your phone.

Instructions

  1. Tap HOME on the car's display

  2. Tap "connect new device" or "Apple CarPlay" - whatever enables you to initiate connecting your iPhone to the car

  3. If the car asks if you'd like to enable Apple CarPlay, tap "yes"

  4. follow the prompts to establish connection (you may need to use Bluetooth, turn ON Apple CarPlay on your phone, or a USB lightning cable)

  5. There should now be an Apple CarPlay icon on the car's homescreen. Tap it.

You can now use the apps on your phone through the car's display and stereo!

Using Apple CarPlay

From the Home screen, you have the following important selections:

1 - Switch between Maps and calls
2 - Home button
3 - View current audio source
4 - Return to your cars home screen
The other selection will depend on your phone's configuration.

To control CarPlay from the driver's seat you can either use the buttons to select manually or hold the answer call button on the steering wheel until you hear beeps. Then speak your commands to Siri.
